SuperConnect+ is a cost-effective wide-area network (WAN) service that provides reliable high-speed data transfer using Frame Relay technology. Frame relay transfers data by dividing it into packets, with each packet taking the most efficient route to its destination. Packet switching is suitable for connecting head office local-area networks (LANs) with remote office LAN’s. Frame relay is also widely used for providing voice and video conferencing services. The SuperConnect+ is an extension of the SuperConnect service with an automatic backup available on the Supernet satellite backbone network.

SuperConnect+ service provides reliable, high speed data connectivity by establishing virtual circuits which provide connectivity between remote offices. The heart of the Supernet network is a fourteen node fiber optic based backbone network which covers the length and breadth of Pakistan. The backbone network is backed up by high speed satellite network in order to achieve a higher degree of availability. Supernet uses reliable wireless technology to deliver the data from its Frame Relay PoP’s to the customer premises. In order to ensure extra reliability Supernet can also support ISDN backup for the local loop.

SuperConnect+ allows many virtual network connections to share physical network interface. With circuit based WANs, individual sites typically require direct connections to every other site through a single physical interface, amounting to significantly lower equipment cost. Supernet Frame Relay service can also be extended to International destinations busing its partner’s network.
