Supernet commissions 62 km wireless link
Karachi August 9, 2005: Supernet, the largest data network operator
in the country and a wholly owned subsidiary of TeleCard, has commissioned
a 62 Km long haul wireless link over Redline AN35 (a product of
Redline Communications of Canada -world leader in Broadband wireless
communications) in Central Punjab for its corporate customers.
This is the first time in Pakistan that a microwave radio link
of this class has been commissioned for such a long distance and
it would enable users to transmit mission critical data between
factory and head office. Prior to commissioning of this link customers
had to communicate via an expensive dial-up links.
