| Customers can access the internet service provided
by Supernet via the public switched telephone network (PSTN) using
the dedicated dial-up (DDP) service. As the name suggests a port
is dedicated on the remote access server (RAS) for a DDP customer.
This ensures that a customer can get on the net every time they
dial the dedicated number.
The DDP service is ideal for a small office or
a power-user individual. Supernet provides a 1:1 mapping between
the number of DDP customers and the number of ports available on
the RAS.
Supernet maintains a high capacity Internet backbone
which is connected to multiple PoP’s of Pakistan Internet
Exchange and Flag. Supernet’s extensive network comprises
of latest carrier grade routing and switching gear from Juniper
Networks and Cisco Systems. For the purpose of network resilience
Supernet employs a combination of direct two-way and one-way connectivity
with Asian & North American Tier-1 bandwidth providers.
The DDP service is available in fourteen cities
in Pakistan. The customer can avail this service by visiting Supernet
Offices/Customer Touch Point (CTP) or authorized dealers. The location
of the Supernet CTP and the authorized dealers is available on the
website.
